James P. Barone is a Partner at Ferruzzo and his practice consists primarily of acting as general counsel to mid-size businesses (including a very strong emphasis in the representation of automobile and motor sports dealerships) who do not have the luxury of in-house counsel. He provides advice with regard to a wide variety of legal matters that arise in both sophisticated and day-to-day business operations. With almost 30 years of legal experience, Jim is well-versed in commercial and corporate transactions, commercial real estate, and corporate business operations.
Jim has experience in the purchase and sale of businesses, and has personally negotiated and successfully closed transactions involving an aggregate of almost $4 billion in sales, and an aggregate enterprise value in excess of $1 billion. His detailed expertise allows him to walk clients through the complex merger and acquisitions process, assisting with every aspect of the transaction.
