JAMES P. BARONE
Jim Barone’s practice consists primarily of acting as general counsel to mid-size businesses (including a very strong emphasis in the representation of automobile dealerships) who do not have the luxury of in-house counsel. He provides advice with regard to a wide variety of legal matters that arise in both sophisticated and day-to-day business operations. With almost 30 years of legal experience, Jim is well-versed in commercial and corporate transactions, commercial real estate, and corporate business operations.
He has extensive experience in the purchase and sale of businesses, and has personally negotiated and successfully closed transactions involving an aggregate of $3 billion in sales and an aggregate enterprise value in excess of $1 billion. His detailed expertise allows him to walk clients through the complex M&A process, assisting with every aspect of the transaction.
Jim takes special pride in his knowledge of the practical aspects of operating a business, which enables him to provide creative legal solutions customized to help clients meet their goals and objectives. With each client, he attempts to develop an on-going relationship and takes a personal interest in helping the client succeed. His creative, personal approach, coupled with sound business acumen, allows him to impart business solutions to corporate clients that address all components of the particular issue at hand.
