Tim J McElfish is an associate with the law firm of Ferruzzo & Ferruzzo, LLP. He was born June 10, 1974, in Anchorage, Alaska, and admitted to the California bar in 2006. He received his Bachelor’s degree from University of California, San Diego in 1999, and his Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University, School of Law in 2003. In 2004, he received an LL.M. in Taxation degree from University of San Diego.
Mr. McElfish’s practice includes primarily Trust and Probate Administration, Estate, Probate and Trust Litigation, and Estate and Gift Tax Planning including preparation of Trusts and Wills. He is experienced in advising clients in all aspects of administration of their Trusts, including marshaling assets, valuations, subtrust allocation and funding. In addition, he is experienced in Probate and Trust contests, fiduciary misconduct, removal, and surcharge actions. Mr. McElfish is also experienced in transactions involving business, estate and gift tax planning, and preparation of Trusts and Wills for individuals and owners of businesses.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. McElfish worked for an Irvine law firm and also served as a court-appointed trustee. During his term as a court-appointed trustee he managed and negotiated the sale of commercial assets that included hotels, restaurants, and other real property in California and the Pacific Northwest.
