WAYNE L. JONES is Of Counsel to Ferruzzo & Ferruzzo, LLP. His practice is limited to the family law. He brings 35 years of experience to the firm regarding the resolution or trial of extraordinary family law matters. Wayne will continue to practice family law on behalf of the firm as well as manage and oversee the firm’s family law practice.
Wayne is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from Louisiana State University New Orleans in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business and management. Following active service as a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Navy, he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1976 from Western State University. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1976 and has practiced family law in Orange County since that time.
Wayne is a past President and Director of the Newport Harbor Bar Association and the University Community Association, an Irvine homeowners association of over 900 homes. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the UCI Medical Center Associates.
Wayne has served as a Judge (Pro Tem) and a Temporary Judge of the Orange County Superior Court for many years. He has been appointed by the Superior Court as a Referee and Special Master and has also served as a Private Judge (privately compensated Judge) on numerous family law matters. Wayne has spoken on many family law topics before the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, Newport Harbor Bar Association, Hispanic Bar Association, Celtic Bar Association, and the Family Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association.
Wayne is a retired Naval Officer and a veteran of the Vietnam War, with over 22 years of active and reserve naval service.
He and his wife, Barbara, reside in Newport Beach, California. They have two adult children, Christopher, a graduate of Franklin & Marshall University, now employed locally as a 3D graphics animator in the software gaming industry; and Jennifer, a graduate of the University of Chicago School of Law, now practicing with a firm in New York City. Wayne is an avid tennis player, golfer, sailor, and scuba diver.
