Gordon D. Scholte

GORDON D. SCHOLTE joined FERRUZZO in 2000, and is a Partner providing business and commercial transactional counsel with an emphasis on real estate and financing.   Mr. Scholte assists owners and users in acquiring or disposing, financing, development and leasing of  hundreds of  properties throughout the Southwest ranging from single-tenant structures to regional shopping centers and including industrial and manufacturing properties, distribution facilities and auto malls.

Previously, Mr. Scholte was in private practice in Orange County, and "Of Counsel" to McClung & Davis, Laguna Hills, California, providing legal counsel to small and mid-size businesses in the areas of commercial and corporate transactions, commercial and residential real estate and related business litigation.  In 1996, Mr. Scholte joined the legal department of CB Richard Ellis and, serving as Senior Counsel to the then public company and General Counsel to CB Partners, Inc., a subsidiary of the company, was instrumental in the company's nationwide expansion efforts through the creation of strategic joint ventures and through merger and acquisition activity.  In 1999, Mr. Scholte served as General Counsel to Newport Federal, Newport Beach, California, a privately held commercial real estate and finance company.

Mr. Scholte was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and admitted to the California bar in 1986. He received his bachelors degree from Westmont College in 1982, and his juris doctorate degree from University of San Diego School of Law in 1986.
