SHANNON C. PAPAZIS is a Partner and the Chair of the Contested Probate and Trust Administration and Litigation Practice Group at Ferruzzo. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her Juris Doctor degree, summa cum laude, from the University of La Verne College of Law.
Ms. Papazis represents clients in a wide variety of civil litigation matters, in both state and federal court. She primarily focuses in the areas of Trust and Probate Litigation, including the litigation of elder abuse, conservatorship, and guardianship matters. Ms. Papazis represents fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and interested persons in contested and litigated administrations involving claims such as breach of fiduciary duty, accountings, estate distribution, will and trust contests, Marvin claims, omitted heir claims, restraining orders, undue influence and elder abuse. Her trial experience was initially grounded in criminal while externing at the District Attorney’s Office, expanded into family law and civil while in private practice, and now focuses on trusts and estates. Ms. Papazis is an experienced and effective litigator who has successfully tried civil actions throughout the State of California.
Ms. Papazis understands the unique challenge that clients face while participating in estate litigation with their family members and strives to promote reunification and early case resolution wherever possible.
